The Event makes a splash in Spa
Even the infamous Belgian rain could not put a dampener on The Event’s first major track day participation, as the company joined over 500 Porsche drivers at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit on 15-17 May.
The Event team used the opportunity to showcase the forthcoming track days in Valencia on 7-8 September and in Jerez on 2-3 November, and were given a warm reception in spite of the wet weather.
The event also marked the debut of the new Event taxi ride service, which offered people the chance to experience a chauffeur-driven lap of the track in the company’s own Porsche GT3. In addition, company partner 2D attended the event to help set up a new data acquisition system which will be offered to customers during the Spanish track days later in the year.
All in all it was a successful roll-out for The Event and left people with a good appreciation for what the company is set to achieve with its unique approach - on and off the track.
